October 25-27, 2007 - Historic Ghost Tours at City Cemetery

Three words best used to describe these three nights would be: Frightening, Fun and Factual!  Come spend the night with locals who know their history. Visit famous Gordon Cemetery where it is reported to be haunted by the spirits of civil war veterans who just want to go to the other side.  Some sightings include a hot tempered confederate who met his demise while once again unleashing his temper.  Fun for the whole family. For more information please contact Carol Silsby, Director of Gordon Better Hometown at 478-628-2406

Good food+Good Friends=a good time! For more information on times and lineup call Art Silsby, Director, Fall Line Festival  at 478-628-2406 or cell (478) 456-0870.

October 6, 2007 - Fall Line Festival

Once again Gordon will be celebrating its birthday with our annual Fall Line Festival.  Every year, from all around, vendors bring in beautiful  arts and crafts while enjoying free entertainment for young and old. From singing to clogging, this day is a true southern tradition in the making. There will be no ringing of the chow bell, but there will be plenty of chow. Events include an AntiqueTractor Parade through downtown at 11 A.M. and competive tractor events at 1 P.M. at Hobo Junction. A classic car show at the Methodist Church is enjoyed by all.  Two  free, airconditioned shuttles go to each venue.  Free parking across from the American Legion on Highway 243.  For more information please contact Art Silsby,  Festival Director, at 478-628-2406; cell phone (478) 456-0870.
